Over the years, Merrill has donated surveying and engineering services to many worthy municipal and privately funded projects. In Marshfield, Massachusetts, the tragic accidental death of a young teenage girl led to the formation of the Molly Fund, which awards scholarships for a variety of activities and supports community projects in Marshfield. One such project was Dandelion Park, named after the young girl who loved the yellow flower. With an outpouring of support from family, friends, and local businesses, an old gas station in Marshfield Center was transformed into a walking and meditative park dedicated to all those who have passed away before their time. Merrill provided the site survey, park design, and construction layout and supervision.
