Boston Magazine’s Design Home for 2012 was developed and built by Eugene Mattie Associates in the Cowings Cove subdivision in Norwell, Massachusetts. Amenities in the private community include a par 3 golf hole, wooded walking trails, a children’s bus stop designed after a 19th century farm stand, and a covered walking bridge. Merrill was responsible for the land surveying, site design, grading, septic design, stormwater management, and construction services for the project. 100% of the proceeds from the house tours were donated to the Ronald McDonald Charities of New England.
